Sunday lately – hosted by the Blogger Tribe. This week’s line-up: planning – loving – reading – wishing – feeling. Find the link-up details below.
I’m starting to think about the upcoming holidays – three more weeks of school and then we’re off for a family holiday. Woo hoo! But, that’s a lot of planning! Remember the days before kids where you could grab a bag and toss a few things in and you’d be ready to go? Hahahahaha. No more. I think I need to make some sort of check list.
I am really, really, really loving the warm weather! Last weekend was pretty grizzly in Sydney, although we were very fortunate to be safe and sound and largely unaffected by it. But, I’m definitely a warm weather gal and the last few days have been very nice with the sun shining again!
Reading? Not much! This year I have barely done any reading, which is quite sad. I did borrow the complete collection of Mary Poppins from the library a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t got very far through it, but it’s fun reading it and remembering both Disney’s adaptation (which I haven’t seen in a long time), bits from the musical which hubby took me to when it was in Sydney a few years back, and the film Saving Mr Banks, which we saw on TV a few months ago. Finally, the penguins make sense!
I’m wishing there were more hours in the day. Or the night. Or both. I need more sleep, and I need more hours to do all the things I need to get done, and want to get done. I have a lot of dreams for Beanie and Talbot (the blog. And the kids.), but I can only do so much at the moment. But the joy of blogging right now is that it’s on my terms. It comes second to my kids.
I’m tired! I probably sound like a broken record blabbing on about sleep, but golly the last few weeks have been tragic. Eddie has been waking around every 90 minutes, on average. So that means some nights it’s hourly. Or more. I really hope we get over whatever is causing this delightful nocturnal activity soon! Oh, but she is getting better and better at the crawl and will come to find me if I’m not in her eyeline. It’s adorable. I always say it’s a good thing God makes babies so darn cute. It’s the pay off for bad nights.
