Sunday lately – hosted by the Blogger Tribe. This week’s line-up: completing – visiting – repeating – writing – scheduling. Find the link-up details below.
It’s been a busy weekend celebrating Beanie’s birthday (post to come). Tomorrow will mark the last family celebration and then I can complete my sugar binge (hahahaha). There is SO much cake in my home and I have zero self control, but once it’s out, I really need to cut back on the junk. The trouble I’m having is that dairy upsets Edgar, which means I can’t eat it (when I do, I pay with unsettled nights and frequent waking), so I can’t even indulge in sweets like yoghurt. If anyone has any suggestions for healthy snacks – I’m not a big fruit eater – throw them at me please!
I’ve been visiting memory lane of course, with Beanie’s birthday. All the expectant mother Facebook memories; the last few days before he was born; that time my blood pressure went through the roof because the doctors couldn’t decide whether to induce me or not (as a first timer that really stressed me out!) and then they sent me up to labour ward for three hours. Ahhh good times. And of course his birth, and the newborn bubble. Seems like dream land now!
My menu planning has been a little less than inspired lately. I just can’t be bothered with it and it means we’re eating a lot of the same things week in and week out. Mostly, people are happy with that, but I sort of feel bad about it, so I’m hoping I’ll get a bit more excited about it soon.
I’m nearly done writing Beanie’s birthday letter, so keep an eye out for it. You can read his half birthday letter here (half birthdays are a thing, OK?)
We are doing some renovations in our unit, when means lots of phone calls and lots of scheduling people. The painter, the builder, the carpet quoters – trying to juggle appointments around school run and nap time. Busy! But exciting, too!
